Carr and the Raiders
Quarterback of the Oakland Raiders Derek Carr may have been overshadowed by the success that his older brother brought to the expansion team Houston Texans over a decade ago, but he is making his own name in the National Football league now. Although he did not have a great rookie season, little blame can be put on the young and very talented quarterback as he did not have much around him. The Raiders turned their dismal season around late in the season as they went on to win their last three games at home.
Ben Shaoul says he really is not that surprised that their head coach would be fired, but the Oakland Raiders feel that they have a very strong team brewing under the quarterback position by Carr and the new head coaching position by Jack Del Rio. The Raiders are more than a decent team on paper. They have talent that has been underutilized and they have been a team in the midst of transition after Al Davis passed away several years ago. Davis was the man in charge in Oakland and has made the major decisions for the Oakland Raiders over the last handful of decades. Although the Raiders had a very dismal season, they look to have the pieces in place to be a decent team as the years go on. Jack Del Rio is a man of business and the Raiders hope he can take the team and take them back to prominence in the AFC.
