Providing the Best Care for Your Pets

One of the best companies that offer pet products is the Nestlé Purina PetCare. This company is dedicated to providing pets with the best food, treats, and litter. Some of the most recognized brands have been produced by Nestlé Purina PetCare. What makes Nestlé Purina PetCare so special is that pets, to this company, are not only customers, they are also family.

The company was founded in 2001 by merging together Ralston Purina with Nestlé. Only 11 years late, Purina PetCare became the second largest pet food company globally. By 2015, Purina PetCare is the number one choice for pet owners that take pride in caring about giving their pet quality food.

After Ralston merged with Nestlé, the final product was Nestlé Purina PetCare. Ralston Purina was originally a company that specialized in feeding horses until the company ventured to make dog food. By purchasing this company, Nestlé was able to expand the business and produce a much better quality of food. The present day company building is now located in St.Louis Mississippi.

With the merging of Ralston Purina and Nestlé, there were major changes that were set into motion. One of the changes was to cut back the produced dry food and to expand the production of wet food. This venture alone brought in billions of dollars of revenue and made millions of pets happy. By 2004, the company merged both the Latin American and North American operations into a Nestlé Purina PetCare Americas division. This site would further expand Nestlé’s big intentions.

The Nestlé Purina PetCare company has had many accomplishments over the years. The main goal of this company is to improve the lives of all animals. With this goal, in 2003, the company had created a new branch that was created for the purpose of advancing veterinary research. The company, in 2004, had also donated 80 tons of the pets that were affected by Hurricane Charley. Nestlé had even donated 100,000 dollars to local animal shelters that were affected.

The Nestlé’s Purina News Center reported that within only four years of being in business total revenue increased from 11 percent to about 33 percent. The company has even built new facilities that are located in both Russia and Thailand. By 2010, the company has added on treats to the list of products with Nestlé’s agreement to acquire Waggin’ Train. With the new products that are geared towards pets, pets will forever eat healthy and delicious products.
